1. Who We Are
Release Point AI ("Release Point AI," "we," "us," or "our") is a pitching and hitting development app for baseball, softball, and other throwing and hitting sports, used by coaches and players from youth through pro. Release Point AI is operated by Nolan George, an individual based in Las Vegas, Nevada. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service at releasepointai.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect:
Account information: Players join Release Point AI only by invitation from their coach and sign in with Google. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google account ID. After you sign in, we ask for your birth month and year. If you tell us you are under 13, we stop right away. We freeze the account, sign you out, and remove your name, photo, and profile details. We keep only your email address and Google account ID, so the block works on every device, and we delete the account within 14 days. If a coach invited you, the coach's roster may still show the name the coach entered until we remove it, within 14 days. Your birth month and year are used once to confirm your age band and are never stored. If you set a password, it is hashed and never stored in plain text.
Parent or guardian accounts: We don't have parent or guardian accounts yet, so we don't collect a parent's name, email, relationship, or a signed permission form.
Profile data: Role (coach or player), team name, age group, position.
Video and media files: Clips you upload, voice recordings attached to clips, and any annotations on those clips.
Performance metrics: Pitching and hitting metrics entered or imported into the platform.
Usage data: Timestamps, clip notes, and coaching feedback entered into the platform.
AI Coach conversations and coaching notes: We save AI Coach conversations about a player, the player's Working On notes, and AI-written Mechanics entries (marked AI so a coach can edit or delete them), so coaches can pick up where they left off. They're visible to the player's coaches, the player, and their guardian, and are deleted with the player. Conversations and Mechanics entries about a clip are also deleted with that clip. We don't save these for players under 13.
"Ask about your game" guide: For players 13 and older, we use AI to build a short question-and-answer guide from that player's coach notes, metrics, and clip analysis, and we save it so it loads quickly. Only the player can see it. It's rebuilt when their feedback changes and deleted with the player. We don't create it for players under 13.
Problem reports: If you report a problem, we collect your message plus device, browser, and viewport details, and a screenshot if you attach one.
Technical data: Browser type, device type, IP address, and standard server logs collected automatically.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
–Provide and operate the Release Point AI platform
–Enable coaches to share video analysis and feedback with their players
–Power AI-assisted coaching analysis using your metrics and clip context
–Send authentication emails (magic links, password resets) and invite emails
–Improve platform performance and fix bugs
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Who Processes Your Information
We use third-party processors to operate the platform:
AI: We use a third-party AI service provider that processes AI requests (AI Coach chat, clip analysis, and the player's "Ask about your game" guide) under contract and does not use your data to train its models. Requests can include the player's first name (never last name or email), age group, throwing hand, and position; the clip title and date; coach notes, timestamped notes, and checklists; pitching and hitting metrics; earlier AI clip analysis and Mechanics entries; the question typed into AI Coach; and, for clip analysis only, still frames from the clip. We never send video files, voice notes, or audio.
Hosting and database: We use cloud hosting and database providers that store and serve your account data and videos. The host also records anonymous page-performance measurements.
Email: We use an email delivery provider that sends account and invite emails.
Video search: We use a video search service that receives only the search text you type when you compare against public videos.
Error monitoring: We use an error monitoring service that receives technical error reports. Reports do not include your user id or email. Error replays mask text, inputs, and media visible on the page.
Browser video tool: We use a content delivery network that serves the in-browser video compression tool; no video or account data is sent.
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone except these processors.
5. Children and Teens
Release Point AI is a pitching and hitting development app for baseball, softball, and other throwing and hitting sports. Its players range from youth to pro, so this section explains how we handle age.
How we check age at signup
–Players join Release Point AI only by invitation from their coach and sign in with Google.
–The birth month and year are used once to set the age band and are never stored, and the band can't be changed later.
Children under 13
–Children under 13 cannot sign up.
–Players join Release Point AI only by invitation from their coach and sign in with Google.
–Coaches cannot add players under 13, and a coach can't give permission on behalf of a parent or guardian.
–No video (clips or lessons) can be uploaded for anyone marked under 13.
–The AI Coach is not available for anyone marked under 13.
–If a player answers under 13 after they have an account, we freeze it right away so they can't use the app or add video, and we remove the profile name. If a coach marks a player under 13, that player can't have video added, and a signed-in player with that mark is sent to the stop screen. We'll delete the child's personal information, including any video, promptly.
–If we turn on a parent-permission flow for children under 13, we'll update this policy first.
Teens 13 to 17
–Players 13 to 17 need a parent's or guardian's permission to use Release Point AI.
–Coaches must have written parent or guardian consent before uploading video of any minor.
–Teens enter their birth month and year and accept the Terms themselves.
Teen accounts
–Teen accounts are private. Release Point AI has no public profiles or public clip pages. A teen's clips and data can be seen by the teen and the coaches on the teen's teams (see "Video and Performance Data").
–Accounts created before the birth month and year screen: some players were added by a coach before that screen existed. For those players, we use the age group the coach entered.
–AI Coach: teens can currently use AI Coach. Chat sends text, never video or audio. Clip analysis also sends still frames from a clip.
–Removing content: teens can delete clips they uploaded themselves. They can also email support@releasepointai.com to ask us to remove anything they posted, or to delete their account and data.
Roster-only players
–Roster-only players are managed by their coaches, have no account, and have no email unless a coach adds one.
–For a roster-only player 13 to 17, the coach's recorded parent or guardian permission is what allows video. The coach records either that they are the player's parent or guardian, or that they have written permission from the parent or guardian to upload video. Once that player creates an account, their own age answer and the existing account rules apply.
Coaches
–Coaches must give each player's correct age group and must not add a child under 13. A coach can't give permission on behalf of a parent for anyone under 13, and Release Point AI doesn't treat a coach's action as a parent's permission for children under 13.
Contact
–For questions about a child's or teen's information, email support@releasepointai.com. If you think your child under 13 has an account or gave us information, email support@releasepointai.com. We'll confirm you're the parent or guardian, then let you review the information or have it deleted.
6. Video and Performance Data
A player's video can be seen by the player, the player's direct coach, the other coaches on teams the player is on (including assistant coaches), and the player's linked guardian. A player's video can be uploaded by the player's direct coach, the coaches on teams the player is on (including assistant coaches), and the player.
Videos, voice notes, and metrics follow the same access rules. Videos are served via time-limited signed URLs. Files are not publicly accessible by default.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. Players can delete clips they uploaded. You can delete your account from your profile. Deleting your account removes your personal data and the media we store for you. If you are a coach, players you added may stay so another coach or the player can keep using them. Some files may fail to delete; we log those. Saved AI clip analysis is deleted when its clip is deleted. The "Ask about your game" guide is deleted when the player is deleted. We keep a record of each AI request for cost tracking (the feature used, the AI model, the amount of text processed, and the date), with no notes, questions, or answers in it. When a clip, player, or account is deleted, that record no longer links to them.
You can also email support@releasepointai.com to ask us to delete specific clips or your account.
8. Your Rights
You may:
–Access the personal data we hold about you
–Correct inaccurate data
–Delete clips you uploaded, or delete your account
–Email us to ask us to delete other data we hold about you
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top will change. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated policy. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Nevada and applicable U.S. federal law.
